Sharebuilder promotion Codes for 5 free + 2 Trades automatic real-time trades

Sharebuilder is a brokerage discount now owned by the same folks behind ING Direct. A reader named Ken sent me a link to the page RetailMeNot coupon for Sharebuilder, that had several coupon codes for trades free automatic (pre-planned, once a week), as well as real-time transactions. (Also Codes at the bottom of this post).
I was very skeptical, so I decided to test them on my own, and to my surprise they worked! I’ve never used my Sharebuilder account on more than one year, but since they have no minimum balance requirement, my account is technically still open. Ready, I now have 10 free trades real-time market and 38 automatic trades in my account.
How to use
To insert the codes for your account, log on for the first time Sharebuilder and then go to account > overview > promotions tab shown below.
In the box selected, type a code. If this works, you should see a confirmation that says something like:
Thanks for referring to ShareBuilder to your friends! Their real-time business 2 have been credited to your account and are available for immediate use.
(I think that these codes have something to do with referring to someone. I don’t know, and I’m not the only referring to you here. But seems to show fine. They have been around for a while, but I could use them quickly if I were you.)
How to check
To see how many free real-time trades you have, click the tab top trade > real-time Trades and look for the “market order of trade credits”. To see how many trades automatic free you have, click the tab top trade > automatic Trades and search for “trade credits automatic investment”. Note that these may have different expiration dates.
